about

In a world crossed by noise, urgencies, and disputes over meaning, ENTRETODOS affirms cinema as a place of encounter — a space where images do not merely represent reality, but move through it, question it, and reinvent it.

The festival is born from a desire to listen: to stories, bodies, territories, and experiences that often remain at the margins of dominant circuits of image production and visibility. In each edition, short films from different regions of Brazil and around the world compose a mosaic of narratives that challenge, expand, and deepen debates on Human Rights, citizenship, and ways of life.

Over the years, the festival has become a platform for circulation, mediation, and learning. Film clubs, screenings followed by debates, workshops, and public conversations take place in public schools, cultural centers, prisons, community spaces, and a wide range of social contexts. The aim is not simply to screen films, but to create the conditions for images to be thought about collectively — training mediators, strengthening and encouraging filmmakers, and cultivating audiences capable of looking, interpreting, and producing meaning.

Each screening is also an event. A pause within the speed of everyday life. A suspended moment where the gaze slows down and experience can be shared. It is in this space between the image and the conversation, between silence and speech, that the ENTRETODOS festival unfolds as a practice of both aesthetic and political formation.

In times marked by fear, fragmentation, and social exhaustion, ENTRETODOS places its trust in the power of encounter. Here, art does not emerge as an escape, but as a field where experience can be elaborated — a place where differences become dialogue and conflicts become reflection.

Collective poetry can rehearse other possible futures.

The festival is, above all, a territory in between:
between the self and the other;
between the film and the world;
between the reality that confines us and the one we can still invent.

May images bring us closer.
May conversations transform us.
May cinema remain a gesture of shared life.
