Before the port, the factories, and the ships, Suape in Cabo de Santo Agostinho (PE) was made of trails through mangroves, rivers, and traditional communities. The film traces pathways erased by progress, where taking detours was essential to survive. Caught between a past shaped by deep ties to the land and an industrial present, Winding Path reveals the scars of development and fears of an impending future as an ore terminal and railway tracks slice through the landscape and people’s lives.
